The races take place in the magnificent grounds of Balmoral Castle over the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April 2015. The Royal estate offers one of the most dramatic settings for a running event, not just in the UK, but worldwide, and every year more and more people of all ages come to Deeside to take part.
On the Saturday the Stena Drilling Tartan 10K, the ConocoPhillips 5K incorporating a %k Wheelchair Race, the Kongsberg Maritime secondary schools 2.5k and the MPH Ltd primary schools 1.5K .
Then on the Sunday there’s the Big Trail Race (15 Miles) and the Wee Trail race (3 miles). The Wee Trail Race is designed to give adults and younger runners (aged 15 and over) a taste for this type of event, and the NEW Apollo Duathlon Race , this is the first year Apollo have come on board to sponsor a duathlon featuring a 20K mountain biking stage book-ended by two 5K runs.
With thousands of spectators coming along to support the runners, the estate will be buzzing with excitement and for those not taking part in the races there is an opportunity to visit the Event Village where a range of activities for all ages will be on offer.
